I Have been looking for a strapless heart rate monitor for some time since my Casio died a few years ago. One aspect of physical health has to do with resting heart rate, so I did not want a strap. This watch fits the bill. It is also very good during exercise. Just be aware that the contact with your finger and the back of the watch to your wrist
